(KTRS) – Students at a north county elementary school were evacuated today after a suspicious package was found near the school.
Fox 2 reports that just before 1 p.m. someone placed the package on the steps outside of Moline Elementary School. The staff heard a small explosion they believed was a firework and the school was evacuated, fearing the package could contain explosives. The students will not go back to the elementary school today.
The Bomb and Arson squad and St. Louis County Police are on the scene.
