(KTRS) – Some new information regarding a man accused of stabbing his mother and brother to death.

Darquise Gowdy was arrested for the murder of his mother Tyra Shannon and 16-year-old brother Lawrence Stawbridge. The Post-Dispatch reports that court documents state that the victims were killed at least a day or two before their bodies were found. Gowdy also suffers from schizophrenia and did not regularly take his medication.

His mother, Shannon, also had a restraining order against him. He is held on $850,000 bail.
