St. Louis, MO  (KTRS)  The murder rate in the city of St. Louis continues to rise.

Police say last night a man and a woman were gunned down Sunday night along the 900 block of Hamilton Avenue in the Central West End. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The man is in critical condition.

The names of the victims haven’t been released.  There’s no word of any arrests.

This brings the St. Louis murder count to 169, ten more than last year.
