( KTRS ) Crews with the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District have responded to and are making repairs to an underground force main sewer break at Jamestown Mall.

A mall security officer noticed the break and reported it to MSD.

MSD had to shut down the nearby pump station to allow crews to make repairs. As a result, an undetermined amount of sewage spilled into Coldwater Creek. The spill poses no immediate threat to public health or safety.

However, should anyone come into contact with an overflow, they should wash thoroughly with soap and water.
