(KTRS) – The mother of three-year-old Xavier Robinson wants the 15-year-old boy who shot and killed her son this week, to be charged as an adult.
The Post-Dispatch reports that Semaj Porter says the suspect will likely serve some time in juvenile detention and then “get on with his life”, but all she will have are pictures and memories of her son. It is still not clear if the shooting was an accident, but Porter wants the boy treated as an adult and charged with first-degree murder.
The shooting happened about 11 am Monday in Porter’s home. The boy ran from the scene, but turned himself into police later that afternoon. Police cannot release more details about the case because the suspect is a juvenile and any court record remain sealed.
