BRANSON, Mo. (AP) — Missouri Republicans have selected the delegate slate they plan to send to the national party convention in Cleveland in July.
The Kansas City Star reports that 19 at-large delegates were pledged to presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump. The delegates were selected Saturday during the Missouri Republican State Convention in Branson.
The amount of delegates awarded was based on the outcome of the March primary in Missouri.
Six at-large delegates were pledged to Sen. Ted Cruz. He dropped out of the race for the Republican nomination on May 3.
In addition to the at-large delegates, three party leaders are already pledged to Trump. So are 15 delegates chosen earlier at the congressional district level. Cruz has nine district-level delegates.
Conservative activist Phyllis Schlafly is among delegates pledged to Trump.
