BELLEVILLE, IL (KTRS) St. Clair County authorities say two suspects are in custody in connection with a carjacking there last night. It began Monday night about 11:30 in the 2600 Block of Eastview Drive in Belleville. The sheriff’s department says the victim, a 23 year old woman from Belleville, had her car taken from her at gun point by two men who blocked her vehicle in on Eastview Drive. She was allowed to remove her 3-year-old daughter and 6-month-old son from the vehicle before the suspects took it. No one was injured during the hijacking.

Swansea Police reported a similar incident with the same suspect vehicle about 10 minutes before the Eastview carjacking which occurred in the 1600 Block of North Belt West in Swansea, IL.
