St. Louis, MO (KTRS) Mayor Francis Slay won’t seek another term.
The mayor made that announcement during aFriday morning news conference. “This is not a goodbye. I’m going to mayor for another year. I will have a full and likely controversial agenda to pursue and complete. My health is fine. I told my family last night. I told my city hall staff this morning.” said Slay.
Slay also says he doesn’t have plans for what he will be doing next, only saying that he hasn’t ruled out running for another office.
Slay is St. Louis’ longest serving mayor. He was first elected in 2001.
