St. Louis, MO (KTRS) Over 2,000 Ameren customers are without power in downtown St. Louis.
This was a result of a man hole fire Thursday night at 7th and Market Streets. The power outages has prompted the closure of City Hall and the Carnahan Building.
This is also affecting MetroBus riders. MetroBus routes are unable to serve downtown St. Louis east of Tucker Blvd. due to the street closures. Passengers are advised to connect with their MetroBus route at 18th and Clark Streets near Union Station.
Ameren officials say the hope to have power restored by early afternoon.
