A man who was shot by a city marshal outside the St. Louis City Hall is now facing criminal charges.
34 yr old Kevin George of Collinsville IL, was released from the hospital Saturday and then taken to the St. Louis City Justice Center, where he is held on a $50,000 cash-only bond. He has been charged with two felonies, including property damage and tampering with a motor vehicle, as well as three misdemeanors, including assault on a law enforcement officer, assault and resisting arrest.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that the marshal was leaving City Hall when she saw a U-haul truck rear-end a parked car. The driver, Kevin George, then reportedly pulled a woman out of the truck and began beating her.
When the marshal approached the pair, George came toward her aggressively, so she fired several times and struck him in the leg.
He then fled the scene but was arrested after a brief search.
