St. Louis, MO  (KTRS)  A man is dead after being shot overnight in north St. Louis.

Police say the victim was shot at just after 12 a.m. Tuesday on Bessie Avenue near Marcus. He died after someone drove him to the North Patrol police station for help.

The victim’s name hasn’t been released.  There’s no word of any arrests.

This brings the unofficial murder count in St. Louis to at least eighteen so far this year.
