( KTRS ) Police say a man was found shot in the back on southbound I-55 Wednesday Afternoon.

Officers were called yesterday around 2 pm to 55 and Loughborough.

Upon arrival they found the victim with a gunshot wound to the back. The man was conscious and breathing at the time.

He was taken to hospital but his current condition is unknown. An investigation is ongoing
