(KTRS) – Prosecutors say they have charged an 18-year-old man for firing the shot that killed an 11-year-old boy earlier this week.

Investigators say that Ta’mon Ford fired the shot that hit Romell Jones while the boy was waiting for a ride to basketball practice. Earlier Thursday police say they found a car they believe was involved in the shooting. Ford is charged with first-degree murder.
