( KTRS ) A man has been arrested for a fatal shooting that took place over the weekend.

Schron Jackson, with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police department, reports that 22 yr old Adonnis Smith has been charged with 1st degree murder and armed criminal action, in connection with the fatal shooting of 35 yr old Brandon Ellington.

Police responded to a call for a shooting, Saturday afternoon, to the 6900 block of Pine Ridge.

Upon arrival Ellington was found lying against the curb unresponsive, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene
