CLAYTON, Mo. (AP) – A suburban St. Louis is charged with second-degree murder for allegedly killing his wife and burying her body in a remote area.
Charges were filed Wednesday against 58-year-old John McLaughlin of Sunset Hills.
Authorities say 57-year-oldLinda McLaughlin disappeared on June 1. St. Louis County prosecutor Bob McCulloch says her body was found Tuesday in a shallow grave in a remote area of Missouri. McCulloch says “technology” led investigators to the site, and technology placed John McLaughlin at the location soon after his wife disappeared. He declined to elaborate.
McLaughlin was arrested Tuesday at his business.
Attorneys for both men say they are still gathering information.
