(KTRS) – The Major Case Squad is helping with the investigation into the death of a 3-year-old girl in the Barnhart area.

Investigators say that the girl’s mother found her body and called police around 6:30 AM on Monday. Authorities say there were obvious signs of trauma to the body, but the girl was not shot or stabbed, they are classifying her death a suspcious.

The girl has not been identified and no one is in custody.
