(KTRS) – In Illinois lawmakers have their own crisis to face–the state has been operating without a budget since July.
The budget battle stands poised to throw the rest of the legislative agenda into disarray. Political analysts say that upcoming elections could add even more tension to budget discussions. Primaries in Illinois are March 15, which could make some lawmakers hesitant to take a position on the budget.
The Senate begins their session on Wednesday, but the House members will not return until January 27.
