( KTRS ) Drivers are seeing major delays as Interstate 55 is down to one lane in both directions near the Meramac River, to help flood fighting efforts overnight.

The Post dispatch reports that authorities have been directing traffic onto Route 141 then over the Lemay Bridge north, then to Butler Hill rd and back onto 55.

MoDOT has already closed several roadways between St. Louis and Jefferson county. They include Interstate 44, Route 30, Route 21, and Route 61/67. Drivers needing to get to Arnold may still be able to take Telegraph Rd.
