St. Louis, MO (KTRS) Hillary Clinton is one step closer to achieving the Democratic nomination after Tuesday’s presidential primaries.
Drew Pusateri Missouri Communications Director of Hillary for America, calls this another victory towards Clinton’s race to the White House. “I think the results tonight are really illustrative of level of enthusiasm Hillary Clinton has throughout the country. She speaks to people no matter who they are or what they look like or where they’re from. Seems to me her message is resonating all over the United States.”
A watch party was held Tuesday night at the Hillary For America Headquarters in midtown St. Louis.
Katie Lade was among the campaign volunteers who attended. “She’s the most experienced and qualified for the presidency and that’s what we need in the White House and also I believe she’s ready for the White House. She’s been preparing her whole life for this.” said Lade.
Clinton won Ohio, Florida, North Carolina, and Illinois. However, the Democratic race in Missouri is too close to call. Clinton and Bernie Sanders are less than one-half of 1 percentage point apart. That means the losing candidate can request a recount.
The Missouri Republican race between Donald Trump and Ted Cruz is also too close to call.
