( KTRS ) Temperatures nearing the 100-degree mark are forecast for Missouri and Kansas.

The National Weather Service issued heat advisories Sunday for several counties, expected to have highs in the mid- to upper 90s, with heat index’s reaching 105 degrees in regions from St. Louis and Kansas City in Missouri, to Topeka in Kansas.

More highs in the 90s are forecast until Thursday, when highs will near the 100-degree high mark.
