Granite City (KTRS) – One student is in custody after police the student was caught with a gun at Granite City High School.

Officers say all students are safe and they do not believe there are any additional threats connected to the incident. Before 10 AM, a student told school officials that another student had a gun.

The school resource officer was able to take the student into custody without incident. A search found the gun and ammunition in the student’s backpack.
