Wildwood, MO  (KTRS)  Grief counselors are on hand today at Babler Elementary to help students and staff cope with the death of a classmate.

Police say 7-year-old Rachel Bick and her father were crossing 109 at Shepard Road Saturday night when she was struck by an SUV. The first grader was taken to the hospital, where she died from her injuries.

The driver who struck Rachel stayed at the scene and was cooperative, according to police. No arrests were made.

Rachel and her father were on their way to a father/daughter dance at the time of the accident. She has been described as an outgoing and fun-loving child.
