ST. LOUIS (KTRS) Missouri Governor Eric Greitens has signed into law the so-called Blue Alert bill. The signing took place at the St. Louis Municipal Police Academy.
The governor was flanked by members of local police departments who were injured in the line of duty … including former Ballwin Police Officer Michael Flamion, paralyzed when he was shot while making a traffic stop last year. The blue alert law is similar to the amber alert system and would send out an alert to the public and law enforcement agencies when an officer has been assaulted.
