Maryland Heights, MO (KTRS)   Efforts are being made to help an elderly man who survived a major fire at his farmhouse in Maryland Heights.

A GoFund Me account has been set up for 85-year-old James Fortune who lost everything when his farmhouse went up in flames Wednesday afternoon.  Fortune has lived his whole life in that farmhouse off of Page and Maryland Heights Expressway.

A lightning strike is believed to have caused the fire.
