(KTRS) – One person was injured by a gas line fire and subsequent explosions in Illinois.

Fox 2 reports that a worker was using a piece of equipment at a construction site in Maryville when the worker hit a gas line. That started a fire and it appears the fire may have spread to nearby cars that exploded. The worker was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Route 162 was closed in the area.
