Franklin County, MO  (KTRS)  A  7-year-old Franklin County girl is dead after being shot and investigators say they suspect her mother.

The girl’s father returned home from work Wednesday morning and found his daughter dead in a bedroom and his wife incoherent on the floor. The mother was taken to the hospital for an evaluation.

Authorities suspect murder-suicide may have been the initial intention.

No names have been released. There’s also no word of any charges.
