TOWN AND COUNTRY, Mo. (AP) – A Chesterfield teenager has been charged in a 2014 hazing case at a Town and Country high school football camp.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports (http://bit.ly/1RdEXpJ ) that 16-year-old Jason Bemis was certified to stand trial as an adult and was charged Thursday with six counts of third-degree misdemeanor assault.
Court records say he punched six people at a Principia Upper School football camp in August 2014.
Three other students at the private Christian Science school are charged with participating in the alleged sexually violent hazing rituals.
Bemis could not be reached for comment by the newspaper, and there wasn’t an attorney listed in court records. A court hearing is set for Bemis on Jan. 25.
