St. Louis, MO (KTRS) Chelsea Clinton was busy campaigning for her mother, Hillary Clinton on Monday.
The former first daughter made four campaign stops in Missouri to drum up support for her mother ahead of Tuesday’s primary. Clinton attended a Working Mom’s Roundtable in Columbia, the Women for Hillary Organizing Event in Clayton, another Working Mom’s Roundtable in St. Louis, and ended with a speaking event at the Hillary for America St. Louis Headquarters.
Clinton covered several issues including healthcare. She touted her mom’s bipartisan work to create the Children’s Health Insurance Program. “Our families, our children, our values, can not afford to wait and we know what we need to do to finish that work my mom began in 1993, with the extraordinary achievement of the Affordable Care Act, to protect it and to finish President Obama’s work.” said Clinton.
Clinton added, “For people who say the Affordable Care Act hasn’t mattered, you can just give them this statistic. Last year we had more women access the full recommended amount of prenatal care and deliver more children in hospitals, safe birthing centors or with safe qualified midwife care than with any point in American history.”
Tolerance, education, and the future of the Supreme Court were among the other issues Clinton addressed during her four campaign stops.
