( KTRS ) Authorities say more than 180 Missouri roads are closed or restricting traffic because of flooding.
MoDOT official say the closures include eastbound lanes of Interstate 70 in St. Charles County. Lanes in both directions closed Sunday because of rising flood waters from the Dardenne Creek.
Several bridges also are closed because of flooding. Counties affected by the closures include Laclede, Lafayette, Macon, Ray, Scotland, Ste. Genevieve and Taney. The National Weather Service says a wintry system could bring light snow to Missouri by midweek.
Below normal precipitation is expected over the next 10 days.
