(KTRS) – Police now say it was a seven-year-old boy who was shot in north St. Louis Tuesday morning.

The boy was waling to the store with his family when investigators believe he was hit in the cheek with what may have been a stray bullet, but they have not found any evidence of where the shots were fired.

The boy is in the hospital and police say that he is stable but have not released any further information on his condition.
