Sauget, IL (KTRS)  Firefighters have been busy battling a major mulch fire in the metro-east.

A massive pile of mulch at the Oldcastle Lawn and Garden on Queeny Avenue in Sauget caught fire late Monday morning. Firefighters from multiple department worked into the evening to bring this fire under control.

Fire crews are expected to be back on Tuesday to put out any hot spots.

No injuries were reported.
