East St. Louis, IL  (KTRS)  The cause of a fire that destroyed a tire shop in East St. Louis is under investigation.

Firefighters were called to Classic Tire Shop in the 1600 block of State Street around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday. One person was sleeping inside the building and had to be rescued, according to investigators.

No serious injuries were reported.
