(KTRS) – Ferguson officials, guests, and a very important bakery owner were on hand for the groundbreaking of a Starbucks.

Natalie DuBose is the owner of Natalie’s Cakes and More and her recent partnership with the coffee shop giant has enabled her to grow her company from three employees to 13. In November of last year, her cake shop was vandalized during unrest in Ferguson. Starbucks was touched by her story and reached out to ask her to supply her caramel cake bites to the Ferguson location.

Just a few months ago, Starbucks expanded that deal to include a dozen additional locations in the St. Louis area. The Ferguson location is expected to open in the Spring.
