FERGUSON, Mo. (AP) – A 32-year-old Ferguson man is facing second-degree murder charges in the fatal shooting of his father.
Jesse Reise was also charged Thursday with armed criminal action. He is jailed on $500,000 bond.
Police were called Tuesday to the Ferguson home that Reise shared with his 58-year-old father, Joseph Reise. The elder Reise had been shot in the head. Police found a .380-caliber casing near the body, but no weapon. The son was gone.
Jesse Reise was arrested later Tuesday in southeast Missouri’s Wayne County. Police say he had the handgun with ammunition that matched the spent casing found at the home.
