( KTRS ) The City of Ferguson is hosting a town hall meeting this evening to discuss the growing drug epidemic in the St. Louis area.
Figures taken between 2012-2014 show there were 516 drug related deaths in St. Louis County and 287 in St. Louis City.
The meeting will start Wednesday at 7pm inside the Ferguson Community Centre on 1050 Smith Ave.
Last week the drug Narcan, which can treat a narcotic overdose and potentially save a life, became available for ‘over the counter purchase’ at pharmacies across Missouri. Those who use it in good faith, to save a life, will not face any prosecution if they dial 911 immediately after use.
