St. Louis, MO (KTRS) State and civic leaders who banded together in an effort to keep the Rams in St. Louis are feeling jilted.
County Executive Steve Stenger says the NFL and Stan Kroenke (KRAHN’-kee) are showing “callous disregard” for the city and Mayor Francis Slay says the league is ignoring fans “who supported the team through far more downs than ups.”
Governor Jay Nixon says there was a “strong and viable proposal” to keep the Rams in St. Louis and he’s troubled that the move to Los Angeles was approved anyway.
Fans echoed those sentiments after ponying up for personal seat licenses and season tickets without a winning record to show for the last several years. At Tuesday night’s Blues hockey game, the fans made derogatory chants about Kroenke.
