St. Louis, MO (KTRS) The second redo election of the year in St. Louis has reversed the outcome of the initial race.
Rasheen Aldridge defeated Rodney Hubbard Sr. in the special election held on Tuesday for the race for Fifth Ward Democratic committeeman. Last month a judge ordered a do-over election over improperly cast absentee ballots during the primary election.
Hubbard’s wife, Penny Hubbard was also the subject of a do-over election in a state house race due to improperly cast absentee ballots. She too lost in a special election to Bruce Franks.
Aldridge served as an activist during the unrest in the St. Louis area in 2014. This led to him being appointed to the Ferguson Commission.
