St. Louis, MO  (KTRS)  A child is dead after being struck by a car in south St. Louis.

Police say the 8-year-old boy was hit by a passing vehicle along the 7700 block of Michigan early Sunday night. The driver remained on the scene and has been fully cooperative with police according to the investigation.

The child’s name hasn’t been released.
