St. Louis, MO  (KTRS)  A young girl is hospitalized  after being shot in the jaw in north St. Louis.

Police say the girl who is said to be between 8 to 10 years-old, was shot late Wednesday night on St. Louis Avenue near Goodfellow. The child’s parents drove her to the hospital. Police haven’t released details of what led to the shooting or who was responsible.

The child is in stable condition.
