Franklin County, MO  (KTRS)   The death of a 7-year-old Franklin County girl is being investigated.

Franklin County Sheriff Gary Toelke says the child’s father arrived home from work early Wednesday and found his daughter dead in a bedroom and his wife incoherent on the floor. Toelke did not say how the girl died, but says homicide is suspected.

The family’s  home is near Villa Ridge. The mother was taken to a hospital, but had no outward signs of trauma.

Toelke says the child’s father is not a suspect.
