( KTRS ) A teenage math whiz, from Chesterfield, is back home after winning a gold medal in Europe.

Rachel Zhang, a student at the Parkway South High School, traveled to Romania last week to compete in the European Girls Mathematical Olympiad.

Rachel and the three other girls representing the United States placed second in the world and won a Gold medal for their overall score on the contest.
