St. Louis County, MO (KTRS) A Berkeley man is facing charges in connection with the fatal shooting of a man on a Metrolink train in north county.
Eighteen-year-old Djion Oates is charged on several counts, including second degree murder in the shooting death of 20-year-old Jesse Boone. Police say Oates shot Boone on the train as it was arriving at the UMSL station late Wednesday night. Oates and Boone were fighting on the train prior to the shooting, according to investigators.
Meanwhile, Boone was convicted last October for his role in a violent robbery on a Metrolink train back in 2015.
Boone’s murder comes on the heels of the fatal shooting at the Busch Stadium Metrolink station last month.
