St. Louis, MO (KTRS) A celebration is planned to mark the completion of Leonor K. Sullivan Boulevard.
The 1.5 mile stretch of road along the riverfront has been raised two feet to prevent flooding and also includes a bike path, benches, landscaping, and a stage. This is part of the $380-million City Arch River Project. The entire project is expected to be completed in 2017.
A ribbon cutting ceremony will be at 5 p.m. on Thursday. This will be followed by a community picnic at 6 p.m. The event will conclude with fireworks at 8:30 p.m.
