St. Louis, MO (KTRS) A carjacking suspect is dead after being shot by police in north St. Louis.
Police say it started in Jennings late Monday night when an officer spotted a vehicle that was taken in an armed carjacking in south county earlier in the day. The St. Louis County police officer pursued the vehicle into north St. Louis.
The chased ended at Lee and Fair, where the driver of the stolen vehicle came to a stop. That’s when police say three occupants jumped out of the vehicle. One of those occupants pointed a gun at the officer, who then shot and killed the suspect.
The two other suspects took off on foot and still are being sought by police.
The identity of the deceased suspect hasn’t been released.
