Carbondale, IL (KTRS) A Carbondale police officer is out of the hospital after he was shot during a pursuit over the weekend.
Carbondale police said Tuesday that 26-year-old officer Trey Harris was released from the St. Louis-area hospital, where he was treated after the Sunday shooting. Details of his injuries weren’t provided, but police said they were serious. has been with the department for three years and three months.
Harris was shot when someone opened fire from a vehicle speeding away from a shooting scene. Police say they’re still looking for two suspects in the case.
Harris has been with the department for just over three years.
