( KTRS ) A former East St. Louis strip club bouncer who pleaded guilty to killing a man with his pickup truck is to return to court for sentencing.
Thirty-three-year-old Reginald Allen of Dupo faces up to six years in prison Friday in St. Clair County. He was initially charged with reckless homicide in the 2009 death of Anthony Rice during a parking lot dispute outside a now-closed club that Allen’s family owned.
Authorities say Allen, who is white, taunted Rice, a 23-year-old black man, and his brother with racial comments and threw a brick through their friend’s car window.
Allen said he feared for his life after the brothers’ friend grabbed a gun from his car and fired several warning shots after Allen had thrown the brick.
