Authorities have ID’ the body of a man discovered in a burning car in Riverview Tuesday morning.

Police say the man is 29-year-old Darren Seals, also known as King D Seals. Fox 2 news reports that for the last two years Seals had taken an active role in the Ferguson protests and had a following in the area as a rapper.

Investigators say he had been shot.

The case is being investigated as a homicide by the St. Louis County Police Department.
