St. Louis, MO (KTRS) Billy Busch is determined to keep Grant’s Farm in the family. Busch delivered a business plan to his siblings, which outlines that he can make his ownership sustainable. Busch says the business model contains three phases:
Phase 1: Maintain and bring back Grant’s Farm to his father’s standards.
Phase 2: Add new exhibits such as bee colonies, vegetable and flower gardens, and hosting events at the Busch Family Pavilion year round.
Phase 3: Move Busch’s Kraftig Beer Headquarters to the farm.
Busch’s siblings are currently reviewing the plan.
Busch also continues to dispute claims by his siblings that he wants turn the park into a subdivision. Busch maintains that he wants to keep the park in the family, as was expressed in the will of his father, August A. “Gussie” Busch.
A legal battle began brewing last year, when four of the Busch Siblings announced their plan to sell Grant’s Farm to the St. Louis Zoo.
A judge could make a decision on the fate of Grant’s Farm during a March 28th hearing.
