A Bellefontaine Neighbors police officer is recovering after a traffic accident.

Fox 2 news reports that the incident took place Monday night around 7:15pm, in St. Louis County. The officer was responding to a call for a disturbance when their cruiser was struck by an SUV at the intersection of Hornsby and Broadway.

The officer suffered minor injuries and refused treatment. The driver of the SUV stayed on scene and to talk to police.
