(KTRS) – John Brunner, is backing off attacks that centered around the source of some donations for GOP gubernatorial candidate Eric Greitens.

In step that could point toward party unity, Brunner tweeted that he retracts any accusations he made that a contributor to the Greitens campaign kept a teenage sex slave.

But Greitens is not in the clear concerning his campaign’s financing: former House Speaker Pro Tem Carl Bearden refiled a Missouri Ethics Commission complaint. Bearden says Greitens’ campaign accepted nearly $2 million for a PAC that never filed paperwork with the commission.
